Hygiene and Wash Awareness in schools

In many Lebanese schools today, maintaining basic hygiene has become a daily challenge. Limited resources, damaged facilities, and the pressures of ongoing crises directly affect children’s health and learning environments.

The Hygiene and WASH Awareness in Schools project was created to respond to this reality with a simple but powerful belief: healthy habits start early. Through interactive and engaging sessions, Istidama works with children, teachers, and school staff to promote proper hygiene practices and create cleaner, safer spaces for learning.

By combining education, hands-on activities, and practical support, this project helps schools build a culture of hygiene that protects children’s well-being today and supports healthier communities in the future.

Direct funding by ISTIDAMA founders:

  • Design and implementation of interactive hygiene awareness sessions
  • Provision of hygiene kits and essential cleaning supplies for schools
  • Development and distribution of child-friendly awareness materials and poster
  • On-ground coordination and follow-up with school administrations
