“Empowering Education: Pine Community School's Humanitarian Makeover

About the project:
In a dedicated effort from us, as a humanitarian non-governmental organization, to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for our students, Pine Community School in Deir Koushe - El Chouf has undergone a transformative project aimed at enhancing its infrastructure and facilities.
Undertaken with a dedicated commitment to educational excellence, our team meticulously assessed the school's needs, prioritizing urgent requirements to address immediate concerns.
Amidst the challenges posed by the school's deteriorating condition, we rallied support from the community, pooling resources and expertise to implement the following vital enhancements:
Rainwater Drainage System: Installation and repair of gutters to effectively manage rainwater.
Water Tanks Installation: Procurement and installation of plastic water tanks to ensure a consistent water supply.
Water Purification System: Implementation of a comprehensive purification system, including UV light treatment, three-stage filtration, and faucet installations, guaranteeing access to clean drinking water.
Doors and Windows Restoration: Extensive refurbishment of doors and windows through woodworking, glass replacement, and painting, enhancing security and aesthetics.
Washrooms and Bathrooms Renovation: Overhaul of sanitation facilities, including sinks, toilets, and drinking fountains, to maintain hygiene standards.
Tiling and Maintenance Work: Essential tiling, painting, and repair works executed to uphold the school's structural integrity and visual appeal.
Training Sessions: Educational and administrative staff participated in workshops focusing on personal hygiene guidelines, the significance of clean water consumption, and proper sanitary practices.
This remarkable transformation of Pine Community School was made possible through the generous contributions from our esteemed community, facilitated by "Istidama-Lebanon."
